Dear friends of Specialist Dental Group,
As we step into 2026, we want to take a moment to say thank you to our patients, partners, and colleagues. Your trust and support continue to shape who we are and why we do what we do.
2025 was a year of reflection, learning, celebration, and giving back. Below, we’d love to share a few highlights that meant the most to us.
Learning and Celebrations
Growth often begins with strengthening the fundamentals. Every year, we intentionally set aside time for a thoughtfully designed learning experience. It gave us space to pause, reflect, and sharpen our axe. These moments help us return to our work with greater clarity and focus on what truly matters.

We also took time to celebrate the people at the heart of our work. On Nurses’ Day, our team came together for an afternoon of strikes, spares, and smiles at K Bowling Club. A lovely afternoon spent bonding and appreciating our nurses and clinicians.

We ended the year on a magical note with our Fairytales & Fantasy Year-End Dinner, celebrated alongside the SDG family. The evening was filled with gratitude, laughter, and great company. Special thanks to our incredible working partners, family members and NUS postgraduates for joining us. Onwards to new growth and milestones together!

Talks and Events: Sharing Our Expertise
Oral health plays an important role in overall well-being, and our specialists remain passionate about giving back through community engagement. Throughout the year, our team shared practical insights and trusted advice through various talks and media platforms.
Back in August, Dr Ansgar Cheng and Dr Tan Kian Meng took the stage alongside globally renowned dental experts at the Malaysian International Dental Exhibition and Conference (MIDEC) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Dr Cheng shared valuable insights on the management of chemo-radiotherapy patients in a general dental setting, while Dr Tan Kian Meng shared about prosthodontic strategies for a root canal treated tooth.

Listeners of CNA93.8 Health Matters with DJ Daniel Martin gained valuable insights as prosthodontists Dr Ansgar Cheng and Dr Tan Kian Meng unpacked common dental questions and shared their advice on oral health.
In November, Prosthodontists Dr Neo Tee Khin and Dr Tan Kian Meng joined DJ Chen Fenying (Violet) on LOVE 972’s The Fentastic Show to answer these questions and share easy, everyday denture care tips with Chinese-speaking audiences. The full podcast is now available here if you missed the episode.
In December, Dr Ansgar Cheng joined Dr Chong Ming, Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at the University of Hong Kong, as co-speakers at the Hong Kong Dental Association (HKDA) Young Dentists Group (YDG) Continuing Education Lecture. Together, they delved into the clinical considerations and applications of resin-bonded bridges.
The session sparked lively discussions and fresh clinical perspectives among fellow dentists, making it a fitting and meaningful way to wrap up the year.
Education Awards
The Specialist Dental Group (SDG) Education Awards aim to encourage our colleagues’ children to reach their highest academic potential. This year, we’re thrilled to congratulate Jayden Goh and Jayvier Goh for their outstanding results in the 2024 year-end exams. Keep up the amazing work, we can’t wait to celebrate your next achievements!
Sweat. Smile. Repeat
Running isn’t just about crossing the finish line — it’s about discovering resilience and strength along the way. This year, our team went global, breaking personal records and tackling back-to-back marathons. Here’s to chasing new goals in 2026!
Highlights included the 2XU Compression Run, Berkshire Hathaway’s Invest in Yourself Run in Omaha, BMW Berlin Marathon, Mandiri Bintan Marathon, Shanghai Marathon and the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon.
Giving Back to the Community
As part of our commitment to giving back, we are honoured to continue our support for the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS). Reflecting our close involvement in caring for patients with cancer, we are proud to take on the role of Silver Sponsor for this meaningful cause, led by our team leader, Dr Tan Kian Meng.
Funds will support SCS’s outreach and screening programmes, provide financial aid through their treatment and welfare funds, offer rehabilitation and emotional support, and deliver home hospice care.
Team members from SDG joined a record-breaking crowd of over 8,000 participants, coming together in a powerful show of solidarity for the cancer community. Witnessing such unity and collective support was truly moving.
One of our cherished annual traditions is raising funds for a charity chosen by our colleagues. This year, Unlocking ADHD (Singapore) was selected. Together, we raised a total of $2,650, with every dollar contributed by our team matched dollar-for-dollar by the company.
We hope this contribution will support individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly those who need access to early intervention and support services.
As we close another impactful year, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible team and valued partners. Everything we achieved in 2025 was made possible through your dedication, support, and trust.
As we step into 2026, we’re excited for another year of learning, growing, having fun, and striving to be the best version of ourselves. As Charlie Munger wisely said, “Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up.”
Yours sincerely,
Team at Specialist Dental Group
