RAC 15th Anniversary
Singapore Cancer Society celebrates its 15th Anniversary this year for its annual Singtel-Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer (RAC). Congratulations to the Singapore Cancer Society for this superb milestone! They have been doing much meaningful work for the cancer patients and survivors. The annual event aims to raise funds for various causes, such as cancer treatment subsidies, hospice care, and cancer support group initiatives.
Specialist Dental Group (SDG) participated as a Bronze sponsor this year to show our continued support for cancer patients and survivors. Prosthodontist Dr Tan Kian Meng represented SDG as the team leader of the event. Dr Tan has helped many cancer patients in the USA’s MD Anderson Cancer Centre (#1 cancer in the nation for cancer care) and Singapore during his career.
Supporting and participating in RAC 2023 was a natural decision for us as our team works closely with medical doctors to treat cancer patients. It is our pride and joy to restore the smiles of cancer patients and survivors so they can smile confidently. We hope this will encourage them to keep going and know they are not alone in their fight against cancer.
Race Day
On race day, we put on our running attire and participated in one of the three race categories – 5km fun run, 10km and 15km. Seeing such immense support for the event was truly inspiring. More than 5,000 participants were running in solidarity for a meaningful cause!
The event has also exceeded its initial donation target of S$1.25 million. The target is now S$1.5 million. Our team’s donation link is still open if you wish to donate. Together as one, let’s make a difference to the cancer community!
